No matter how she asked, she wouldn’t tell him. Her questions would fall upon deaf ears, his questions diverting her attention and causing her to temporarily forget.
“Orchids?”
“Hm? I suppose they’re all right… what about roses? Girls usually like that.”
He gave a shrug, still focused on the orchids.
“What are your favorite flowers?” he had asked quietly, trying not to put too much emotion into the question, as if it was a nonchalant, every day question. Ino frowned and tilted her head thoughtfully, pensive for a moment.
“Ah… orchids, I suppose.”
“Her favorites are orchids,” he said with a tiny smirk and Ino raised a brow.
“…Heh? Are you buying them for me?”
“…Of course not.”
